Holdingford Public Schools Selects Next Superintendent

Holdingford Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dave Oehrlein has been selected as the district’s next Superintendent.
Following final interviews, the Holdingford School Board met on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and voted to extend an offer to Mr. Oehrlein.
Mr. Oehrlein currently serves as Superintendent and High School Principal at Rothsay Public Schools. He was selected through a comprehensive search process led by School Pro K12 that included input from the School Board and stakeholders. The process focused on identifying a leader who aligns with the district’s values, priorities, and future direction.
The Board of Education would like to thank all staff, students, and community members who contributed to the process through their time, feedback, and engagement.
Additional details regarding the transition and start date will be shared in the coming weeks.

Kindergarten Information

Kindergarten online registration for the 2026-27 school year is open! The link can be found by clicking on the Kindergarten Roundup image above.  Be sure to share the fun loving staff videos with our soon to be Husker kindergartener!  If you need any help registering your Husker, please contact Ms. Christy at 320-746-4462.  After registration is completed and you would like to tour the school or pop into a kindergarten classroom, please give me a call at 320-746-4461.  Please Note…Back by popular demand, Open House August 2026!  The first two school days in September will be reserved for parents and kindergarteners to explore our school, their classroom, and meet and greet your child’s teacher.  We love kicking off the school year in this fashion!  It is a fun way to slow life down and simply talk about kindergarten expectations and share summer stories!

2025-26 Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening Schedules are now open and available. If you need to schedule or reschedule from a previous cancellation, please call Becca in Community Ed. at 320-746-4466. Screenings will take place on Friday mornings throughout the school year.

New Website for Lunch and Breakfast Menus

Menus for breakfast and lunch are now available on Nutrislice.  The new menu format will allow families to access the menus more easily from their computers or mobile devices via the app.  Many of the foods have complete nutrition information and photos so young students can see what an item will look like.
