- Mark Alcorn – Taught and coached at Holdingford High School for thirty-three years, coming in the fall of 1986 and retiring in the spring of 2019. As a coach of thirty-four years, Mark served as the head girls and boys cross country and head girls track and field coach. He also served as an assistant track coach, boys and girls junior high basketball coach, as well as the girls C-squad basketball coach. Mark was named Cross Country Section Coach of the Year nine times, track section coach of the year five times, State Track Coach of the Year two times, and State True Team Track Coach of the Year twice. In 2019, he was inducted into the State High School T&F coaches association’s Hall of Fame, having previously been inducted into the True Team Track Hall of Fame. The following year, he was given the President’s Award for a lifetime of service to the track coaches association, having served several terms on the association’s advisory boards, his involvement with True Team Track, and service as the president of the association for a term.
- Greg Konsor – A native of Holdingford, graduating from Holdingford High School in 1983. While in high school, Konsor excelled in a variety of activities and athletics. He played football, basketball, and baseball and was a member of the 1981 State Championship football team. Konsor also participated in the musical as a senior and was an active member of the FFA program. He held multiple officer positions and was the FFA president his senior year. Konsor began his formal career in the grain industry as a merchandiser with Continental Grain. He went on to work at several locations with the company: Lewiston, ID, Pasco, WA, Portland, OR, and Minneapolis. In 1999, he started working for Conagra Foods under the Peavey Grain Company in Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout his tenure, he progressed through the ranks at the company, ultimately reaching the position of General Manager, a position he held until his retirement in 2016.

April (Maine) Lokken – April Maine was a standout athlete for the Holdingford Huskers Cross Country and Track & Field Teams. She graduated from Holdingford in 1997. She was named all state in cross country three times, capping off her career with winning the state Class A individual championship in 1996. As a member of the Husker Track & Field team, April earned more individual and team accolades. She was a seven-time all state athlete and a member of the 1997 True Team State Championship team. She continues to hold Husker records in the 1600, 3200, and was a part of the school record 4x800 team. After graduating from Holdingford High School, Maine continued her running career at the University of North Dakota. She became an NCAA All American for her efforts in the 1500m and in cross country. In 2000, Maine was a member of the NCAA Division II National Runner-up Cross Country Team.

Arlyn Lawrenz – In 1971 Lawrenz accepted the agriculture instructor and FFA advisor position at Holdingford High School. During his years at Holdingford he worked with over 2000 students in the Agriculture Dept where he worked to instill the importance of agriculture in the state, United States, and world. He was named the Holdingford Teacher of the Year in 1997. Through the Agriculture/FFA Department in Holdingford, many school and community projects were initiated, including
- Community Park downtown
- Outdoor environmental learning centers, on the south end and on the north end of the school
- Landscaping of the school grounds with trees, shrubs and flowers
- Developed the “Welcome to Holdingford Home of the Huskers” sign by the school
- Raised over $20,000 for Camp Courage from 1971 to 2006
- Raised and released close to 10,000 pheasants in the area from 1971 to 2006
- Started the Veteran’s Day Program with the FFA chapter
- Brian Maine – Enjoyed sports and participated in football, basketball and track. He was named captain of all three sports in his senior year. Brian excelled in many sports but it was on the track where he made a name for himself. In 1975, Brian won the state championship in the High Hurdles and broke the school record as well. The old one was held by his coach and current friend, Chet Blascziek. Maine’s record still stands but Brian is looking forward to one of his athletes breaking it in the future. Maine graduated from Holdingford in 1975. Maine returned as a volunteer coach for 10 years. He then accepted a job as an assistant track coach, a role he still holds and has now coached for a total of 45 yrs.

- Dale Bruns – Taught and coached in Holdingford for 30 years. Dale took over as Head baseball coach for the Huskers in 1971. He remained the head baseball coach through the 1996 season. As the head baseball coach, Dale had an overall record of 297 wins and only 170 losses. Under his tenure, the Husker’s won 8 conference championships. He was honored with the CMC coach of the year in 1991. Dale continued on as an assistant coach for Husker baseball from 1997-2016. Dale has been and continues to be active in the Holdingford community. He has participated in Community Service organizations, the Lions Club, Youth baseball, Booster club, Meals on Wheels and All Saints Catholic church.
- Debbie Disher – Came to Holdingford in 1979 as the Elementary Librarian. During her me in Holdingford, Debbie had the opportunity to see and implement many library changes including automa ng both the elementary and high school libraries, desktop computers, the move from overhead projectors to computer projec on systems, iPads and Chromebooks. During her me at Holdingford she was involved in the building process of the new elementary and helped design the media center. In 2015, she re red from Holdingford School District.
- Elmer Ebnet – Was one of Holdingford’s most ardent athletes and sports fan. His love of sports started at a very young age and continued for the rest of his life. In High School he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. Elmer joined the Marine Corp, proudly serving his country form 1951?1953. He returned to Holdingford, quickly joining the town amateur baseball team which belonged in The Great Soo League. He played amateur ball until 1972, retring at the age of 43.

- Bernard Huls – At the age of 17 he went into the Civilian Conservation Corp for an opportunity to learn about other things, and a chance to figure out life. He later enlisted in the Navy. Bernard served on the Holdingford School Board for over 13 years (1969-1983 and 1986-1987). He chose to donate some of his board compensation for the purchase of new marching band uniforms. He was a huge advocate of the new jr.-sr. high school when it was built. In 1996 he was member of the Community Advisory Committee for the process of planning and building the new elementary school. In 1994 he volunteered as the project supervisor for the new elementary playground.
- Ron & Cheri Hylla – Ron and Cheri have been actively involved in the Husker Athletic Booster Club for many years. Ron is a charter member of the Husker Athletic Booster Club (HABC) when it was established in 1982. In 1996, Ron was elected President of the HABC and held the position for 17 years. Cheri began as a director of the HABC and was elected as the Secretary Treasurer position. Cheri held the position for over 13 years. During this period, Ron and Cheri have been immersed in several major projects of the HABC, including the Track/Football Field seating project in 1998, the High School Gym renovation project in 2006 and the Track Renovation project in 2009, along with many other projects. Cheri has volunteered as Chairperson for the HHS Post Prom Committee for several years and secured numerous donations for the event. Cheri has also been a member of the Holdingford Community Education Advisory Council for over 10 years. Ron and Cheri participated in the Holdingford Dreamcatcher playground projects.
- Gary Roebuck – Gary moved to Holdingford in June 1969 where he became a math teacher and football coach. He was assigned to Athletic Director, while still teaching math, in December due to the tragic loss of Chuck Grochow and part of Chuck’s family. He organized the Holdingford Lion’s Club in the mid 70’s through the Community Education Program of which he was the director. In 1977 he was assigned to start the School Dean program for the purpose of managing student behavior and attendance in a positive manner. This was a new innovation in the state at this time. Gary was relieved of the Community Ed Directorship, but continued as School Dean and AD until 1984. Gary lists the following as accomplishments and responsibilities during his career at HHS:
- The football team averaged 8 wins per season during his last 12 years in Holdingford
- Coached the football teams to state play-offs 5 times in the 11 year history of the play-offs resulting in 2 semi-finals, 1 runner-up and THE CHAMPIONSHIP!
- Several Central Minnesota Conference Championships
- Chairman of the District 19 Athletic Directors
- President of the Minnesota Coaches Assn’
- Central Minnesota Conference Chairman
- Member of the Football Advisory Committee to MSHSL
- Central Minnesota Conference Coach of the Year 4 times
- Region 5 AD of the Year *Minnesota Football Coach of the Year
- Named to coaching staff of the State All- Star game.

- Russell Eichten – Moved to Holdingford in 1965. Russ started on the varsity team mid-way through his 9th grade season and never looked back, helping the team get to the District 19 Championship two of his four years as a starter. Russ also got the opportunity to start as a freshman for the baseball team. He could play at any position but found himself having a love for pitching. His sophomore baseball season was quite an exciting one, as the team won the conference, the District 19 Title, and went on to the State Tournament. They were defeated in the first game 4-0 by Minneapolis Washburn, who went on to win the State Title. Russ’s senior year was also quite a feat as the basketball team made their way to the District 19 semi-finals but lost out to the St. Cloud Tech Tigers while averaging 25 points per game this season. Baseball season was a good one as well, making it to the District 19 finals again, but losing to Albany 1-0.
