Organization Meetings Today: Student Council & NHS
Congratulations to Grace Woitalla on being selected as the Region 3 Star in Placement. She is one of 8 students from around the state that will interview for State Star in mid-late March.
Wrestler of the Week: Wyatt Pilarski, Simon Boeckman, Parker Westbrock and Kolton Harren
These four young men continue to sharpen their skills as the season rolls into the final month. Each of them took 1st place in their respective bracket this past weekend at the MNGWL Individual Qualifying Tournament. Make sure to congratulate and wish them good luck as they will compete at the 9th Grade League Individual State Championships this Saturday at Champlin Park!
Honor Roll for quarter two is posted outside the high school office.
FFA February Meeting: Monday, February 6, at 7:30pm in the Ag room. Students wishing to order a t-shirt, who have not done so already, need to see either Ms. Peck or Mr. Roberts by Tuesday.
Holdingford Post Prom T-shirt Design Contest:
What: Holdingford Post Prom Committee is having a t-shirt design contest. These are the t-shirts worn by all juniors and seniors that attend the post prom event. The t-shirt design needs to fit our theme and must include Holdingford Post Prom and the year on the design. The Post Prom theme is Wild Wild West.
Who: This contest is open to all Holdingford juniors and seniors and up to two submissions per student.
When: It runs now through February 11th 2022.
Where: Submit your designs to: holdingfordpostprom@gmail.com
Voting on finalist designs will be open to all Holdingford junior and senior students by email.
The best part: The winning design will be used on the 2021 Post Prom t-shirts given to all juniors and seniors attending Post Prom. The winning artist will receive a $25 cash prize.
Track and Field Information Meeting: All students in grades 7-12 who are interested in joining track and field this spring should attend the meeting on Tuesday, February 14, during harvest time, in the high school gym.
Blood Drive: Anyone interested in donating blood on Friday, February 17th, see Mr. Anderson for a time slot.
FEC: Will NOT meet in January. Our next meeting is on February 28th, during harvest time in the high school meeting room.
Order your yearbooks now! Yearbooks will be the cheapest during the fall and will increase in cost as the year goes on. Yearbooks can be purchased by going to jostensyearbooks.com. Yearbooks can no longer be purchased at the high school. All yearbook orders need to be placed by February 28th, 2023. No extra copies will be ordered so be sure to place an order before the deadline.
Senior Scholarship Opportunity: High School Health Care Scholarship provided by CentraCare - the Dr. Philip Halenbeck Education Fund. To be eligible for consideration the applicant must be enrolling in a healthcare related degree program, GPA of 2.8 or higher, demonstrate involvement both inside and out of school. Award amounts vary from $500-$3000! Stop in Mrs. Carlson’s office for an application, due date March 1st, 2023.
