College in the Schools (CIS) Concurrent Enrollment
Holdingford High School has an extensive concurrent college program with varying courses and credit numbers offered through Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. These credits transfer to any of the colleges in the Minnesota State University and Colleges System. These classes are taught by Holdingford teachers and offer students the opportunity to take college courses while remaining in the building. Students can meet a total of 5.5 out of the 10 MN Transfer Curriculum Goal Areas listed below by taking our CIS courses. Many of our CIS courses have hybrid-like schedules allowing students flexibility and autonomy in their day. We also have a College in the Schools student lounge in our building for students to utilize and work independently.
Students will request CIS courses through the course request process each year and will be accepted into the class based on G.P.A and class rank until course caps have been reached. Students must have a 2.8 minimum G.P.A. to request CIS courses.
